A NEW VISION FOR AN ADULT DAY PROGRAM

FOR ENGAGING YOUNG ADULTS

WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES

 Our Mission and Our Goals

Allie's Dream, Inc. is an independent, nonprofit organization that will provide full time, individualized programs for life long learning and community experiences for special education students with developmental disabilities following their graduation from public school system at age 21.

The adult day program is designed to prepare these young adults with varying disabilities for successful involvement in life.

Our philosophy is that all clients of our program can progress in an appropriate environment and that all clients can succeed to their maximum potential.  Our program focuses on learning, self empowerment and consists of a tapestry of experiences.

We will draw upon the collective strength and energy of individuals with disabilities and their families, as well as from advocacy organizations, in order to have a meaningful impact on the way services and supports are provided through adulthood.  The needs and dreams of our clients and their families will be respected, safeguarded, and promoted through intensive evaluation, collaboration, and monitoring.

Allie's Dream, Inc. is about project based learning with individualized instruction by a certified special education teacher and a full team of professionals from a variety of disciplines. Each client's unique cognitive, artistic, therapeutic, social, recreational and vocational needs are addressed, reinforcing his or her strengths, interests and abilities.

We foster a nurturing and inspiring atmosphere to enable each client to be treated with respect and dignity to allow them to flourish as adults in their communities.
